Spend Time With a Furry Friend
I’m sure most pet owners would agree that playing with or snuggling their furry friend after a tough day helps them to unwind and boosts their mood. Hugging and rhythmic petting can be incredibly therapeutic for both you and your pet. If you don’t have your own pets – go borrow a friend’s! Just look how happy my rabbit Sparky made me!

Complain Less
Have you ever noticed how much we moan and complain!? Complaining is DRAINING! For the complainer and the listener! My husband and I agree that if one of us gets into a complainy rut, the other one has permission to say STOP and force you to say something positive! It’s very effective for stopping a downward spiral and changing your mindset!

Face Your Fears
As non-drinkers, my husband and I used to go to the cinema a lot. But then at the height of my anxiety I had a panic attack during a movie. I then avoided going back, even for a long time after my mental health improved. It’s really important to step outside our comfort zone sometimes and not live in fear of certain places or situations, especially if there is actually nothing to fear! I’ve recently returned, and you know what…I was absolutely fine!

Spring Clean!
Spring is finally here and that can only mean one thing…it’s time to clean! Research has shown that people who live in tidier, more organised homes are generally much healthier – both physically and mentally! So take advantage of that extra spring in your step this week, roll up the sleeves and get stuck into a bit of decluttering!
