July’s ‘Mind Yourself’ Tips

By Lisa Dunbar | Blog | 0 comment | 31 July, 2019 | 2

Be Good Enough
As a self-confessed perfectionist this lil truth bomb has changed my life! It’s still important to me to have high standards, but striving for perfection in all aspects of our lives is not healthy! Anyway, perfection is a myth! So let’s stop beating ourselves up for being less than perfect, cos good enough is good enough!

Switch Off
Nothing has been more powerful for me in improving my mental health than placing limits on the time I spend online. Technology has improved our lives in many ways, heck my business depends on it, but it has kinda taken over our lives! Allow yourself a certain amount of time online and then put those devices in another room for the rest of the day!

Eat a Banana
Did you know that bananas can help improve your mood!? Apart from the obvious fact of being really healthy and good for you, they actually help our bodies to produce serotonin, otherwise known as our “happy hormone”! So what are you waiting for, ya cheeky monkey?! Go grab one now!!

Be Grateful
It can be hard to maintain a positive outlook in life, right?! But research has shown that if we take a few minutes each day to think about, and especially write down, some of the things we are grateful for in our lives, then we can actually improve both our physical and mental health. So, what are you grateful for?
