Be Present
Since ditching my smart phone, one of the biggest things I’ve learned is how to be present in the moment. Our phones can be such a distraction, making our minds race. But now, whether I’m drinking tea or waiting in a queue, I’ve finally learned to just ‘be’ there. Give it a try!

Eat Your Greens
Dark leafy greens such as spinach are bursting with B vitamins which, among other things, support our brains in the production of our mood boosting happy hormones! So if you want to help your body boost your mood, don’t forget to eat your greens!

Have a Bath
The simpler things in life are usually the things that bring us most joy. Baths are often cited as a way of de-stressing because we associate lying down with relaxation and the warm water is believed to mimic the conditions of the womb, creating a sense of security and contentment. So try swapping some of your hurried showers for a warm, relaxing bath instead!

Look at Old Photos
Looking at old photos always brings a smile to my face. I love how there was no editing, no selfie-faces…just real life fond memories. Years ago especially, photos were often only taken on special occasions, times of celebration, joy and excitement. Looking at photos is a direct reminder of those times, helping you to recapture and relive those positive feelings.
