Eat Turmeric!
WHY?
Turmeric is like the first cousin of my old pal ginger! Even if you’re not familiar with it, I guarantee you have probably eaten it, as it is one of the spices often used in curry powders. This vibrant root has a sort of mild peppery taste. It contains something called curcumin which is great at fighting inflammation, this is why turmeric has been used for thousands of years to fight disease.
HOW?
- It comes in fresh or powdered form
- It is great in things like curries, soups, marinades (I love it with paprika on roast chicken and vegetables)
- You can even add a little to warm water and make a turmeric tea!
