Eat Oranges!
WHY?
Well apart from being really sweet and juicy, oranges are an excellent source of Vitamin C, that little thing that can have a big impact on our immune system and, along with the Vitamin A in oranges, can help our body fight the signs of aging! This is why orange is often used by the cosmetics industry!
HOW?
- About 75% of the world’s oranges are grown for juicing, but ideally oranges should be enjoyed in all their glory, eaten whole as a fruit (well apart from the outer peel!)
- We tend to pick off the inner peel (the white bit!) but actually this is a really nutritious part, full of fibre, so eat this too to get all the benefits of the orange!
- As well as on their own as a snack, oranges are also great chopped up in salads, or yoghurt or used as a flavour in baking
