Because they are incredibly nutritious, satisfying, versatile and cost effective too! They’re a great source of fibre (to keep you regular!). They keep us fuller for longer and help to keep our blood sugar levels stable. Just make sure the ingredients say “wholegrain oats”.
- Porridge of course, the nation’s favourite!
- Blitz them in a food processor to make oat flour to use in bread, cakes, etc
- Add some nuts/seeds/dried fruit and make your own granola, granola bars or muesli
