August’s ‘Mind Yourself’ Tips

By Lisa Dunbar | Blog | 0 comment | 31 August, 2019 | 2

Be Silly
Kids view the world with such wonder and excitement! Here’s a pic of me and my niece, taken during a bad week for me last year. It’s amazing how spending time with a little person can cheer you up and change your perspective! If you have little ones in your life, go spend time with them, play their games, see the world the way they see it for a while!

Smile
I remember reviewing photos for my new website and obsessing over my crooked teeth. Then I remembered how lucky I am to have reasons to smile! A smile doesn’t just show the world you’re happy, it can actually MAKE you happy. Even a forced smile makes our body release happy hormones. Smiles are also highly contagious, so go spread some happiness!

Go Outside
We all kind of know that being in nature is good for us, right?! That’s cos our bodies intuitively know the powerful impact nature can have on our health and happiness. If there was a pill that did everything being in nature can do, we’d be queuing up to buy it! And yet it is right there, for free, outside your door…so let’s go outside!

Be Kind
There’s a great saying that we rise up by lifting others. Acts of kindness towards others, no matter how small, make us feel good. FACT! Many believe this is because subconsciously we know it is the right thing to do and the way we should behave towards each other. So go out into that big bad world and spread kindness like it’s confetti!
