Eat Brussel Sprouts!
Because is it even Christmas if you don’t?!? Despite being voted the world’s most-hated vegetable, sprouts are making a come back! And for good reason! They are packed full of good stuff, including Vitamin K to keep your blood healthy and your bones strong and lots of antioxidants to protect your body against damage!
- For goodness sake, don’t overcook them! That sulphurous smell that we associate with brussel sprouts is actually only emitted when they become too soft. It’s like the vegetable is trying to tell you “Don’t overcook me or you’ll be sorry!”
- Try lightly steaming them or roasting them in a little olive oil and seasoning
- They’re great combined with bacon!
